Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc reported that the striker of the team, Marco Reus, would most likely miss the Champions League Round of 16 first leg with Tottenham Hotspur.

“We will make a decision on Reus in the near future. But we do not expect him to miraculously recover for the match with Tottenham Hotspur,” Ruhr Nachrichten quoted Zorc.

Zorc also spoke about the recovery process of defender Manuel Akanji.

“It’s good that Akanji is back on the field. Manuel is recovering on schedule, but we must not forget that he was absent for a long time. It will take some time,” Zorc added.

The match against Spurs will be held in London on Wednesday.
