Former Real Madrid defender Pepe may join Wolverhampton with the resumption of the transfer window in January.

Pepe left Besiktas last week. It is assumed that the 35-year-old defender’s salary, £100,000 a week, turned out to be an overwhelming burden for the Turkish club.

Now agent Jorge Mendes is trying to find a new haven for his client. According to the Daily Mail and the Portuguese edition of Record, the club from Molineux can become it.

As it is known, Mendes works very closely with the Wolves, where several of his clients are playing now. The presence of other Portuguese players and the Portuguese coach in the person of Nuno Espírito Santo will help Pepe to adapt to the Premier League more easily.
