Wolverhampton are leading the fight for Joao Felix
Europe’s richest clubs are losing the competition for Benfica’s young talent Joao Felix to Wolverhampton.
19-year-old Felix made his way into Benfica’s main team in the current season, scoring seven goals and giving three assists in 13 matches of the Portuguese championship.
Media and experts compare the talented attacking midfielder with his legendary compatriots, Cristiano Ronaldo and Rui Costa. The press is actively connecting Joao with leading European clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United.
However, the Daily Mirror reports in an exclusive material that Wolverhampton are leading in the fight for Felix. The Wolves’ Portuguese head coach Nuno Espírito Santo works closely with Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes who represents Joao’s interests.
At Molineux, they are sure that their club is the ideal place for Felix’s further development. It will be difficult for Joao to have practice at top clubs at such a young age.
