PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi ruled out the appointment of former Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger as sporting director of the Paris club.

69-year-old Wenger is still out of work after leaving Arsenal at the end of last season. PSG were called one of the most likely directions for Arsene.

Rumors in the press appeared recently that Wenger had already held a meeting with Al-Khelaifi in Qatar and could sit in the director’s chair at the Stade de France very soon. However, this won’t happen.

The club’s president admitted that he was very tired of all those rumors. He knows Arsen for a long time and they have great relationships. Nasser considers Wenger a great coach and an excellent specialist and gentleman. Nevertheless, PSG already have a sporting director in the person of Antero Henrique. His work fully satisfies the club management, so there is no chance that Wenger will take his job.
