Warnock: Sane is closest to Giggs in years

Former Liverpool and the England national team’s defender, Stephen Warnock, admitted that Manchester City’s winger Leroy Sane reminded him of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.

Sane has returned to his best form in recent weeks, leaving behind a difficult start of the season, and last Tuesday he scored his sixth goal of the currnet season in the match against Bournemouth.

Warnock, who spent 212 Premier League matches for Liverpool, Blackburn and Aston Villa during his career, believes that there was no such a player like United legend Giggs in English football for a long time.

Stephen admitted that the way Sane slipped past his opponent’s defenders reminded him of Giggs in his best years. Warnock said that he adored old school wingers. Leroy reminds him of just such players as Giggs or Arsenal’s legendary winger Marc Overmars.
