Manchester United midfielder Fred met with his agent Gilberto Silva to discuss his situation at the club.

Earlier in December, Fred complained that the lack of playing time at the club level cost him his place in the Brazil national team. At the same time, there were rumors that the midfielder, acquired from Shakhtar for £52 million, didn’t feel happy at United and was thinking about changing the club.

The Red Devils’ head coach Jose Mourinho, explained why Fred played so little, by saying that he wouldn’t be able to actively use the 25-year-old Brazilian until the team improved its game in the defence.

According to the Daily Mail, the player met with Silva at a restaurant in Manchester suburbs the very next day after Mourinho’s statement.

The publication doesn’t have exact information what Fred talked with Arsenal’s legend about, but it can be assumed that this meeting is due to the midfielder’s situation at United and the winter transfer window’s approach.
