Ignoring the opportunity to strengthen in the winter transfer window, Manchester United have already decided on their goals for the coming summer.

The Red Devils have significantly improved their performance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and now have more than real chances to break into the Premier League Top-4. However, it was decided at Old Trafford that January wasn’t the best time to invest in new players.

United need to decide not only with the temporary head coach but also with a sporting director candidacy in the rest of the season. A new specialist will have to work with a prepared list of transfer goals.

According to The Independent, the Devils’ priority in the transfer market in the coming summer will be the purchase of a central defender. Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly is United’s number one goal. Inter’s Milan Skriniar, Alessio Romagnoli from Milan and Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina are considered alternatives to the Senegalese.

Also, United are going to buy a central midfielder, especially after Marouane Fellaini’s departure to China, and a young defensive midfielder as a substitute to Nemanja Matic.
