UEFA Champions League: Tottenham vs Borussia Dortmund – match preview

Tottenham will host Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium
for the second time in two years and try to lay the groundwork for further success before the second leg.

The outcome of the confrontation between the two teams can be decided by which coach – Mauricio Pochettino or Lucien Favre – will manage to compensate the loss of their leaders better. Harry Kane and Dele Alli won’t help Tottenham tonight, as well as Marco Reus and Paco Alcacer can’t play for Borussia.

Spurs coped well without their star forwards and found different ways to win. Son Heung-min’s statistics, who scored eight goals in 10 matches against Borussia, spoke in Tottenham’s favour.

The return match between these teams will take place on March 5.

Possible line-ups:

Tottenham: Lloris — Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose — Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen — Lucas, Son Heung-min, Lamela

Borussia Dortmund: Burki — Hakimi, Toprak, Diallo, Schmelzer — Witsel, Delaney — Sancho, Philipp, Guerreiro — Gotze

Date: 13/02/2019

Time: 8:00pm

Venue: Wembley, London

Prediction: 2:1
