Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira believes his team deserves to get into the Champions League zone at the end of the season.

After losing four of the last nine matches, the Gunners dropped to sixth place in the Premier League standings, although their gap from the Top-4 was small – only three points.

According to Torreira, such clubs like Arsenal are obliged to participate in the Champions League. Recent victories over Chelsea and Tottenham only reinforce Lucas’s point of view that the Gunners deserve to return to the elite European tournament after a two-year break.

Lucas admits that the idea of entering the Champions League occupies an important place in the players’ minds. The team is focused on winning a ticket to the UCL.

If you look at the Premier League standings, you will see that Arsenal are in several points from the Champions League zone. However, the team replaced the head coach and acquired a bunch of new players before this season, so the adaptation process was complicated and time-consuming.
