RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner still can move to Liverpool, despite expectations that the player will continue his career at Bayern Munich.

The Reds head coach, Jurgen Klopp, has a long-standing interest in his compatriot Werner, who will be sold in the coming summer because of the refusal to sign a new contract.

Previously, it was expected that the Germany national team’s 23-years-old player would remain in Bundesliga, but RB Leipzig have no agreement with Bayern Munich.

Leipzig’s Executive Director Oliver Mintzlaff in an interview with Sky said that the situation hadn’t changed recently. Werner still doesn’t want to sign a new deal.

Nevertheless, Oliver doesn’t think that a potential cooperation extension with Timo is completely excluded.
