The 2019–20 Premier League starts on August 10

The Premier League has officially confirmed that the 2019/20 season will start on August 10. The summer transfer window will close two days earlier.

Recall that the Premier League’s clubs voted to close the transfer window before the start of the campaign in the last season.

Thus, Premier League clubs will again be in a less favourable position than the rest of Europe in the coming summer, but still it will allow them to focus on playing football with the start of the campaign.

The transfer window deadline day is scheduled for August 8. Premier League clubs will be able to register new players until 5 pm local time.

As it usually happens, the Premier League will publish a tentative schedule for a new season in June.
