Atletico’s coach Diego Simeone earns the same amount as Antoine Griezmann.

The French newspaper, L’Équipe, conducted a study on how much the players and coaches of European clubs earn.

According to Get French Football News referring to the publication, Atletico’s head coach Diego Simeone is the highest-paid coach of Europe’s Top-5 leagues. He earns 3.3 million euros a month before taxes.

Barcelona’s head coach Ernesto Valverde (2 million) is second, Pep Guardiola is on the 3rd place (1.9 million euros).

Moreover, Atletico Madrid have been lifted ahead of Saturday’s LaLiga derby at home to Real Madrid by the return of inspirational captain Diego Godin from injury, although Spain internationals Koke and Diego Costa look set to miss out.
