Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic was recognized as the best player of Serbia in 2018, according to the official website of the Football Association of Serbia.

The attacker said that he was very honoured by such a high reward and recognition in his country. This is one of the biggest awards in his career and he is very glad that he received it.

Mitrovic admitted that award was the result of the efforts, work and discipline that he invested in his game.

According to the attacker, it is very nice when a player is appreciated in the country where he is playing, but the most honourable thing is when he is valued in the country where he was born.

Mitrovic took part in the 2018 World Cup as part of the Serbia national team, where they failed to overcome the group stage.
