Sarri wants Fabregas to stay at Chelsea
Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri said he didn’t want to lose midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the middle of the season.
During the first half of the season, Fabregas took part in only five Premier League matches, becoming a backup for Sarri’s favourite Jorginho.
According to rumors, Cesc is already in full swing talks about leaving Stamford Bridge in January. Sarri, however, prefers to keep the 31-year-old Spaniard, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
The Italian specialist admitted that he didn’t know what the final decision of the club and the player would be. Nevertheless, he has only 2 players in this position – Jorginho and Fabregas. Losing the Spaniard would be a huge problem for the manager.
If Cesc leaves in January, then Maurizio will be engaged in acquiring the same technically equipped player. According to the Italian, it will be almost impossible, because there are only a few players in the world with such skills that Fabregas has.
