Rummenigge is sure James Rodriguez will stay at Bayern

The Colombian is likely to continue his performances for the Munich club.

Bayern Munich director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that midfielder James Rodriguez, who is due to return to Real Madrid after the current season, would keep defending the Munich club’s colors in the next season.

The director admitted that Niko Kovac highly appreciated the player and valued their cooperation. Rummenigge himself is a big fan of Rodriguez’s talent and is confident that the player and the coach will be able to find James the most suitable position on the field.

The Colombian has been playing in Munich for the last two years on loan. However, the footballer himself has repeatedly stated that he would like to return to Madrid.

According to the source, Bayern should pay Real Madrid about 42 million euros to sign a full-fledged contract with the player.
