Former Real Madrid and the Spain national team manager Julen Lopetegui can lead the Roman club.

AS Roma’s management is very unhappy with the results of the team led by Eusebio Di Francesco in this season. It was reported earlier that the Giallorossi wanted to dismiss Di Francesco, but did not do it, because they could not find a worthy replacement.

According to Il Tempo, Roma turned their attention to Julen Lopetegui, who is currently unemployed. The Spanish specialist was sacked from Real Madrid in late October after a series of unsuccessful results of the team, the crown of which was the defeat in El Clasico against Barcelona with a score of 1:5.

Antonio Conte remains Roma’s first choice, but the Italian doesn’t want to take the team in the middle of the season, that’s why the Giallorossi can make their choice in Lopetegui’s favor.

Roma are ranked 8th in the Serie A standings at the moment.
