Reus named Dortmund Sportsman of the Year

Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus was named the athlete of the year in Dortmund by the end of 2018, Borussia Dortmund’s official website reported.

The captain of the Germany national team, who received a total of 51.9% of all votes, won the majority of votes to succeed in the end, ahead of rower Richard Schmidt, who collected 25.1% of respondents’ votes, and runner Mohammed Ahmed (23% of votes).

Marco thanked the fans for such a high rating and admitted that he was very happy and motivated by such an attitude to his person.

The 29-year-old footballer has taken part in 26 Borussia Dortmund’s games in the current season, scoring 16 goals and giving 11 assists. The Bumblebees are single-handedly leading the Bundesliga standings after 20 rounds.
