Rapids’ Lewis added to USMNT training camp roster

Colorado Rapids forward Jonathan Lewis will get another chance to impress new U.S. Men’s National Team coach Gregg Berhalter ahead of the 2019 Gold Cup roster being selected.

Berhalter added Lewis to the training camp roster ahead of a June 5 friendly against Jamaica, making 29 players that have ben invited to camp.

The 23-man Gold Cup roster is due to CONCACAF at midnight ET on June 5.

Lewis has played in all four USMNT games this year after making his debut in January.

Lewis, who turns 22 on Tuesday, has two goals in four appearances with the Rapids this season. He was acquired from New York City FC on May 7. He had one assist in six matches with NYCFC.
