The defender attained the 121st victory with his national team.
Defender Sergio Ramos repeated goalkeeper Iker Casillas’ achievement in the number of victories in the Spain squad.
Real Madrid’s centre-back took part in yesterday’s match against Malta (2:0) in the Euro 2020 qualifying stage. That victory became the 121st for the footballer in Spain’s jersey.
In total, Ramos has played 162 matches for the Spain national team and reached the same number of victories as Casillas, who played 167 matches.
It was reported earlier that head coach Luis Enrique couldn’t attend the match against Malta for personal reasons.
