Barcelona’s defender Gerard Pique is ready to end his career as a professional player.

Piqué is seriously considering an option of ending his football career, Mundo Deportivo reports.

According to the source, the Spaniard is ready to hang on the shoes in 2020, when he will be only 33 years old.

His desire is based on the fact that he has an ambitious goal to become the president of the Catalans. The next election will be held in 2021.

Gerard is thinking of ending his career in 2020, in order to enlist the support of club members a year before the election.

Moreover, Barca’s star wants to buy a football club.
