Neville finds it difficult to choose between Solskjaer and Pochettino
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville admitted that he no longer had a clear opinion of who was a better fit for the Red Devils as a permanent head coach – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or Mauricio Pochettino.
With his impressive start as an interim coach, including a victory over Pochettino’s Tottenham, Solskjaer turned into a real candidate for the position of United’s permanent manager in Neville’s eyes. However, doubts still do not leave Gary.
Neville acknowledged that the victory over Tottenham slightly changed the course of his thoughts. Solskjaer made the right decisions and was able to win tactical duel with Pochettino.
It was a risk and the Norwegian went for it. Neville hasn’t seen this from United for over 3 years. And it gave a positive result.
And although Gary always returns to Pochettino with his thoughts, no one can say with confidence that Solskjaer won’t be the best candidate by the start of the next season.
