Mourinho: Wenger is one of the greatest managers in football history

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tried to make peace with Arsene Wenger, calling his long-term rival “one of the best coaches in football history”.

During his time at United and Chelsea, Mourinho repeatedly teased and even insulted his French colleague. Jose even called Arsene “a specialist in failure” once.

However, both managers are out of work right now, and Mourinho no longer sees any reason to practice his ill humor.

Mourinho admitted that during his career in England they had moments when emotions took over. Nevertheless, respect has always existed between Arsene and José. Mourinho liked that rivalry.

The Portuguese expert recalls that Wenger rewrote Arsenal’s history. Suffice it to recall the name of one of his teams – the Invincibles. It is impressive. One had a good career if his team was called invincible. It was an ideal team in which the manager’s philosophy was clearly traced.
