Barcelona striker Lionel Messi opened the score with a penalty in the second leg of the UCL Round of 16 against Lyon (5:1).

For the Argentinean, this goal was the 35th in the current season in all tournaments. Interestingly, Lionel has scored 35 or more goals per season for 11 seasons in a row.

By the way, Lionel is back in the national team for the first time since Russia’s World Cup 2018, and will take part in one of international friendlies against Venezuela and Morocco in a week, Argentina’s coach said on Thursday.

The Blaugrana’s forward has not played for his country since their last-16 exit in the World Cup last year.
