The Catalans’ forward Leo Messi will have the title of record holder at least until next fall.

In the group stage of the Champions League draw 2018/19, the Argentinian striker played only four games, while later – against PSV – appeared on the field only in the second half.

Though, Lionel managed to score six goals and become the best player of the week three times in the UCL.

Messi has scored 66 goals in 67 matches of the group stage in his career. He holds the record for this indicator.
