Merson: Solskjaer must beat Liverpool to get this job

Sky Sports expert Paul Merson expects Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get a permanent contract at Manchester United if he beat Liverpool in the Premier League next Sunday.

On the eve, the Red Devils brilliantly rehabilitated after a home defeat from PSG in the Champions League, having knocked Chelsea out from the FA Cup.

Merson was under the impression of United’s victory with a 0:2 score and expects Solskjaer to cause problems to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The expert is sure that after United managed to react to the defeat from PSG in such a way, they have every chance of taking points from Liverpool. The former Arsenal player even believes in the Red Devils’ victory.

Three months ago, Manchester were moving into nowhere. Now, even at the end of the lost match against PSG, 60 thousand people were singing Solskjaer’s name at Old Trafford.

Merson will be very surprised if Ole Gunnar doesn’t get a permanent contract in the event of a victory against Liverpool on Sunday.
