Match preview: Tottenham vs Leicester

In pursuit of Liverpool and Manchester City  and with the hope of winning the fourth match of the Premier League in a row, Tottenham will host Leicester, who have not known victories for more than a month, but tied with Liverpool not long ago.

Spurs continue to experience serious injury crisis and, at the same time, do not lose pace.

Pochettino’s team confidently goes third in the standings, even without Kane, Dele Alli and several other less important players of the squad.

But Son Heung-min, as soon as he returned from the Asian Cup, immediately joined the fight and already scored two decisive goals in last two games.

So while the Londoners successfully dodge bullets, the Champions League waits for them starting next week. The intensity increases.

At Leicester, the atmosphere is not crystal as well. Claude Puel seems to keep the team afloat, but because of strained relations with the fans, there is a feeling around the team that it can play better.

However, it’s too easy to blame the Frenchman – the team is on the wave of matches against the giants (Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham), struggling to cope. In addition, Puel lost with injury the main midfielder – Marc Albrighton.

It is difficult for Spurs to gain points. In the previous three Premier League games, they won thanks to goals at the end of matches. Opponents know how to play against them, but still the Londoners’ skills and experience  help them to succeed.
