Mariano expressed a desire to remain in the team.

The Los Blancos striker, after bringing his team a win in the recent LaLiga battle against Villarreal (3:2), said that he wouldn’t like to leave the team the next summer.

“I am very pleased to win at home, and, in particular, to score two goals in front of the fans. I am very happy with staying at Real and the fans greeted me.

“I don’t have a crystal ball for predictions, but I would like to stay in Madrid,” Diaz said after the match.

Earlier it was reported that Real’s leadership could use the forward as part of deal with Eintracht on attacker Luka Jovic.

Note that Jovic is at Eintracht on loan now, his contract belongs to Benfica and is valid until summer 2021.
