Manchester United and Liverpool will meet in the Premier League 27th round central match.

If you forget about the recent match against PSG in the Champions League 1\8 finals, the Red Devils are in excellent shape and are showing perfect results under Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

In addition, Manchester United qualified into the FA Cup 1\4 finals without any problems, having defeated Chelsea (2:0).

As for Liverpool, it is extremely important for Jurgen Klopp’s team not to lose this match.

The Reds are fighting with Manchester City for the champion title, and at this stage, the teams have equal number of points scored. Even a draw will allow the Merseyside team to overtake Manchester City in the standings. However, a defeat could be the worst scenario for Liverpool at least psychologically, because in this case, they will occupy 2nd place in the standings.

Recall that the first round match ended with a 3:1 score in Liverpool’s favour. The spirit that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought to United could help the Red Devils to succeed today. Nevertheless, Liverpool remain our favorites.

Possible line-ups:

Manchester United: De Gea — Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw — Pogba, Matic, Herrera — Mata — Rashford, Lukaku

Liverpool: Alisson — Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson — Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Milner — Salah, Firmino, Mane

Date: 24/02/2019

Time: 3.30pm

Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester

Prediction: 1:2
