Manchester City scouts followed Pepe
The Citizens’ representatives attended Lille’s recent match against Reims in Ligue 1.
Lille played a draw with Reims 1:1 in the Ligue 1 17th round. According to the Bein Sport, Man City’s scouts attended the match. The grandee’s representatives watched the game of Lille’s midfielder Nicolas Pepe.
According to the publication, the Ivorian is included in the Citizens’ transfer interests list and they will try to get the player in January’s transfer window. The player’s has been actively tied up with Arsenal too. Unai Emery’s team is in dire need of a quick technical flank striker. However, an epidemic of central defenders injuries could force Arsenal to focus exclusively on acquiring players for the defence this winter.
It seems that City’s scouts were satisfied – after all, Pepe managed to score a goal and helped his team to escape from a defeat.
Pepe has scored 11 goals and given 7 assists in 17 Ligue 1 matches this season.
