Lyon refused to sell midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to Manchester City, The Times reports.

According to the source, the French club did not accept the offer of the Citizens to sell the 22-year-old football player for £ 45 million (about € 50 million). The management of Lion wants to earn at least £ 75 million (approximately € 83 million) on the transfer of Ndombele. Manchester City are not ready to spend this amount, but still need to find a decent strengthening due to Fernandinho’s injury.

Earlier it was reported that Barcelona were also interested in the services of Ndombele. The Catalans sporting director Eric Abidal held preliminary negotiations with the player’s representatives in November.

This season, the midfielder has spent 23 games in the French Ligue 1, scored two goals and given four assists.
