Fernando is not opposed to returning to Bilbao.

According to Marca, Tottenham’s striker Fernando Llorente would like to return to Athletic Bilbao and finish his career there.

Moreover, it is known that the Basque club bosses also intend to re-sign the player as a free agent next summer, as his contract with Spurs expires after this season.

Llorente defended the colors of Athletic from 2004 to 2013, having played 333 matches and scored 118 goals.

In the current season, the 33-year-old striker has played 18 matches in Tottenham’s T-shirt, distinguishing himself with six goals and three assists.

Moreover, Athletic Bilbao’s new sporting director Rafael Alkorta announced that his club was interested in acquiring Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera and Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente.
