Liverpool extended contract with the main defender

While the player is recovering from injury, the parties extended the agreement.

Liverpool agreed to extend the contract with their defender Joe Gomez. Information about this has already been confirmed by the official site of the Reds.

The new contract of the player will let him stay at the club for another three and a half years: until 2024.
Liverpool mentor Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the performer Joe Gomez would be out of action with an ankle injury.

The doctors are to determine how serious the damage is, but Klopp fears that Joe’s return will not be quick.

The Reds still remain unbeaten and are at first place on 42 points after 16 games.
