Manchester United attackers Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial should be back on the field earlier than expected – by the time of the Premier League match against Liverpool this weekend.

Lingard suffered an injury to the back of the thigh, while Martial has problems with his groin in the UEFA Champions League 1\8 finals first-leg against PSG on Tuesday (0:2).

Speaking to reporters last Friday, the Red Devils’ manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that both players would miss from two to three weeks.

However, the Daily Mirror was able to find out from its sources at United that Jesse and Anthony’s injuries weren’t as serious as it had seemed at first glance. Both can play against Liverpool this coming Sunday.

At the same time, both players will miss the FA Cup 5th round match against Chelsea on Monday evening. It is expected that their places in the starting line-up will be taken by Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku.
