Kovacic admits that he can stay at Chelsea

Midfielder Mateo Kovacic stated that he considered his loan extension with Chelsea after the end of the season.

Kovacic is playing for the Blues on loan in this season, having received so desired regular playing practice. Mateo took part in 16 Premier League matches, including 12 games from the first minutes.

The 24-year-old midfielder is pleased with how he is doing at Stamford Bridge and doesn’t exclude that he will sign a permanent contract with the London club.

The Croatian considers the move to Chelsea the most important thing that he did in his career. He has long wanted to take this step and is grateful to Chelsea and Real for helping to make that possible. Mateo is enjoying every day in London.

Kovacic respects his contract and will follow the rules prescribed in it. Nevertheless, he would gladly stay at Chelsea for another year or even sign a full-fledged contract with the club. Nevertheless, such decisions aren’t in his power.
