Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that his club was interested in winger Jadon Sancho when he left Manchester City for Borussia Dortmund.

Desperate to get his chance at City, young Sancho went to play for Klopp’s former club in the summer of 2017. In Dortmund, he grew up in a big star and is estimated at £70 million now.

According to Jurgen, Liverpool was also watching Jadon’s talent, but the club didn’t even try to fight.

Klopp says that it is a good idea for English players to go to German clubs, since young players does not always get their chances in England.

Liverpool had been monitoring the player’s success very closely. However, the purchase was initially impossible – Premier League’s grandees does not sell such players to other English clubs.

Klopp cannot explain exactly why this happens. Perhaps the whole thing in a completely English mentality. However, young players can go to Germany now, where the league is incredible.
