Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp warned that his team wouldn’t be in a festive mood in the match against Newcastle on Boxing Day.

To ensure that they will step into the year 2019 as the Premier League leaders, the Reds are obliged to beat Newcastle at St. James Park. Klopp expects this to be a tough match and warns his team against loss of concentration.

Klopp said it would be the most important match of the first round. Everyone in England wants to watch football on Boxing Day. This is a good tradition but Liverpool cannot afford to relax. Players must enter the field and play with full dedication in order to beat this challenging opponent.

The number of points doesn’t matter, especially at the end of December. Klopp urged his players to be fully focused on the result and not to be nervous.
