Klopp cannot imagine himself in Serie A
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that he didn’t represent himself in Serie A, although he had the opportunity to work there in the past.
On the eve of the Champions League match against Napoli, Klopp recalled how in 2013, when he was still in charge of Borussia Dortmund, he met with the Italian club’s president – Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Klopp preferred to linger at Dortmund then, and Napoli turned to former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez. Now Jurgen no longer even imagines himself in Serie A in the foreseeable future.
The German specialist said that he had 3.5 years under the contract at Liverpool. And after the expiration of this period, no one guarantees that somebody will want to see him in serious European clubs. Jurgen is in love with Italy and their food but is completely unable to speak this language.
Klopp admitted that he was impressed by De Laurentiis because he was constantly saying what he thought. Nevertheless, this is his main problem – he is too loud.
Jurgen is confident that the president is satisfied with his decisions. The invitation of Maurizio Sarri was incredible and the specialist repaid in full for the trust. And the return of Carlo Ancelotti is something extraordinary. Klopp is sure that they are satisfied with their managers in Naples, so there is no point in discussing how it would be if there was someone else in charge.
