Kepa risks to miss Carabao Cup final

Chelsea risk missing their main goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday.

The most expensive goalkeeper didn’t look good in the FA Cup 5th round match against Manchester United on Monday. Kepa not only didn’t prevent the Blues’ defeat with a 0:2 score, but also injured the back of the thigh.

Thus, Arrizabalaga will miss the Europa League 1/16 finals second leg against Malmo on Thursday. 37-year-old Willy Caballero is expected to appear in the starting line-up.

Perhaps Caballero will have to stay in the first eleven for Sunday’s match against his former team City as well if Kepa doesn’t succeed to recover in time, Sky Sports reports.

We add that 24-year-old Arrizabalaga conceded six goals from City at Etihad only 10 days ago.
