Kaka: At Real Madrid, my problems were injuries and Mourinho
Former Real Madrid midfielder Kaka explained why he did not manage to show his best game at the Royal Club.
“I was sure that I would succeed at Real. Then it seemed that I was very stable and in better shape. But at first I had problems with injuries, and after that – with Mourinho. I was trying to convince Mourinho to give me a chance for three years. But he decided in his own way, and I could not influence his opinion,” the Brazilian said.
“First, I injured my hip, and then injured the adductor muscle. I had an operation and was out of action for six months. When I returned, Mourinho appeared at the club. I was one hundred percent ready. Even now I can come to Real Madrid, and all the doors of the club will be open for me. President Florentino Perez told me that I was the biggest professional at the club.
Now I have no problems in communicating with Mourinho. We met during a commercial event in Manchester and talked for two hours. In life, Jose is the same as he is on the field. But he is a very intelligent, erudite man. Therefore, I can say that all his interviews are very well prepared,” Grande Circulo de SporTV quotes the words of Kaka.
Recall that Kaka moved to Real Madrid from Milan for € 67 million in 2009. As part of the Madrid club, he spent 120 matches and scored 29 goals. The Brazilian left Real Madrid in 2013.
