Inter won’t buy-out Vrsaljko

Apparently, the Croatian defender will return to Atletico after this season.

Inter Milan aren’t going to activate Croatian midfielder Sime Vrsaljko’s buy-out option, whose contract belongs to Atletico Madrid, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It was reported that the player’s knee injury, after which it became clear that the player wouldn’t be able to play football for six months, was the main reason for that decision.

Recall, Inter loaned Vrsaljko at the beginning of the season for €6.5 million with the €17.5 million buy-out option. However, the footballer managed to play only 13 matches in the Nerazzurri’s jersey.

Nevertheless, Luciano Spalletti’s team has already solved this problem and loaned defender Cedric Soares
