AS Monaco head coach Thierry Henry summed up the 19th round match against Guingamp (0:2) in Ligue 1.

Henry admitted that it was hard to accept that defeat. Both he and the players promised themselves that they would get out of the relegation zone before the winter break. However, that didn’t happen.

Monaco looked good in the first 15 minutes of the match but the team lost confidence after 2-3 unsuccessful moments. That was especially noticeable in the second half when Guingamp played very aggressively.

Thierry says that it was a hard defeat, and now he and everyone in the team should work on improving the situation. That is why he won’t have a full-fledged vacation.

Monaco are a solid team that has no results yet, unfortunately. But there are still a lot of moments that can be improved, and this is a positive thing, Henry thinks.
