Harry Kane aims Golden Boot in this season
Tottenham striker Harry Kane admitted that he was motivated by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s performance, and he would do everything possible to regain the Premier League’s Golden Boot in the current season.
Kane set a personal record of performance last season, having scored 30 goals in the Premier League, but he still left behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
This season, Arsenal’s Aubameyang is Harry’s number one competitor in the fight for the Golden Boot so far. Pierre has already scored 10 goals – one more than England’s captain.
However, this competition only motivates 25-year-old Kane, who won the Golden Boot of the World Cup in Russia and won the Premier League’s goal-scorers race in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons.
Kane admitted that he usually went on his peak in December-January, when teams got physically tired. In such a situation, it becomes easier to score.
Harry doesn’t have any problems from a psychological point of view, as he can look back at the World Cup at any moment and see that he scored there more goals than any other player. This fact gives him an incredible motivation and he understands that he can always score against any team.
