Guardiola: We need only a victory against Leicester

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said that the unexpected home defeat in the match against Crystal Palace made his team play only to win against Leicester on Boxing Day.

Last Saturday, the current Premier League champions sensationally lost to Palace at Etihad with a score of 3:2, as a result Liverpool’s advantage at the head of the table grew to four points.

The Citizens will hold a match against Liverpool on January 3, but until then Guardiola hopes to take his points against Leicester and Southampton.

Guardiola recalls how his team always returns and wins after making mistakes and losing points last season. This must be done now in the critical period of the season.

City will play 2 away matches against Southampton and Leicester. Both of these matches must be won in order for the match against Liverpool not to become a formality.
