Gomez, Lovren and Oxlade-Chamberlain are on the verge of returning to the field
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that defenders Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren with midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were on the verge of returning to the football field.
Recall, 21-year-old Gomez was out of the game since early December, when he broke his leg in the match against Burnley and was forced to go for surgery.
At the moment, Gomez is still undergoing rehabilitation outside Melwood and is expected to miss matches against Watford, Everton, Burnley, Bayern Munich and Fulham. Joe may return after the upcoming international break – to the EPL match against Tottenham on March 31.
Klopp expressed the hope that all of his defenders would be well
by that time and then he would have a good choice in that line.
The boss said that Joe was doing his rehab and looked good, big steps, outside running and all those things.
Jurgen also reported that after 10 months of absence with a knee injury, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returned to training. Dejan Lovren, who has already healed the back of the thigh, will return in a few days.
