If Chelsea’s leadership decides to fire Maurizio Sarri, until the end of the season, the team will be led by his assistant Gianfranco Zola.

The Pensioners are seriously considering dismissing Maurizio Sarri after the disgraceful defeat by Manchester City and appointing Gianfranco Zola as interim head coach, Sport Mediaset reports.

If it happens, the current assistant of Sarri will work with the team until the end of the season, after which he will give way to a new eminent specialist.

In a such situation, one more former Chelsea star Roberto Di Matteo, who, being appointed as acting mentor, won the 2012 UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2012.
