Atlético midfielder Gelson Martins commented on his loan transfer to Monaco until the end of this season.

“I have already adapted well, thanks in large part to my new teammates. It all happened very quickly. I also know the coach, and he, like me, is a Portuguese.

“I have four months to show what I can do. I want to help the team as much as possible,” the press service of Monaco quotes Martins.

23-year-old Martins moved to Atletico from Sporting as a free agent last summer. This season, he spent eight matches in the championship of Spain. Martins has been playing for the Portugal national team since 2016.

As a member of his national team, the midfielder took the bronze of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.
