Gary Cahill may continue his career at Fulham
Fulham hope to acquire Chelsea captain Gary Cahill in the winter transfer window.
32-year-old Cahill has appeared on the field in the Premier League’s this season only once as a substitute, and, of course, this situation didn’t suit the experienced defender, accustomed to play every week.
Gary’s contract expires at the end of the season, but the Blues are expected to meet the demands of their faithful fighter, who brought so many trophies to the club, and allow the defender to leave unhindered in January.
Earlier, Cahill was eyed on by Arsenal, but that transfer was complicated by the fact that the Gunners are Chelsea’s direct competitors in the fight for Premier League’s Top-4.
The Fulham option also has its own attractive sides for Cahill. Gary wouldn’t have to leave London, and, in addition, he will be guaranteed a place in the starting line-up of Claudio Ranieri’s team.
Though, Fulham have conceded most goals in this season of the Premier League, allowing competitors to hit their goal 40 times in 16 matches.
However, the Cottagers will have to withstand competition for Cahill from some of their competitors in the division, including West Ham and Southampton.
