Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand represents the scenario in which Manchester City and Liverpool may converge in the Champions League final this season.

City and Liverpool are two clear contenders for the Premier League title in this season, although the coaches of both teams refuse to admit that only their clubs are participating in the title race.

Ferdinand is convinced that the Citizens and the Reds are powerful enough to compete for the main trophy, not only in the domestic arena but also in Europe.

According to Ferdinand, there will be nothing surprising if City and Liverpool converge in the Champions League final this year. Both teams are very strong, and the European grandees are disappointing and playing very poorly in this season. Barcelona, Bayern and Real. They all failed the first half of the season.

Only Juventus look strong, as always. Massimo Allegri’s team can become the main contender for Klopp and Guardiola in the Champions League.
