Midfielder Marouane Fellaini rejected frequent suggestions that he went to China for profit.

However, the player could have stayed at Manchester United, if the club hadn’t dismissed Jose Mourinho.

As soon as the Red Devils showed Mourinho the door in December, Fellaini quickly collected bags and left to play for Shandong Luneng, where he will be receiving £235,000 a week.

According to rumors, moving to China allowed Marouane to double his salary, but the Belgian himself claimed that money wasn’t the main thing for him.

Fellaini assured that the Chinese League was very strong. Yes, the teams here do not play with such a pace as in England. But Marouane will play 2 matches a week when the Asian Champions League starts.

In addition, he is at the club that has everything. Literally everything a modern team needs. Fellaini boasted about medical equipment of the team and admitted that he really liked being there.
