Emery: Ramsey’s future question is closed

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery said that his club wouldn’t reconsider its decision not to offer a new contract to midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey helped the Gunners to achieve a bright victory with the score of 4:2 in Sunday’s derby against Tottenham, having appeared from the bench during the break. Aaron showed himself brilliantly, and after the match, Arsenal’s legend Ray Parlour even turned to Emery, urging him to get rid of Mesut Ozil and save the Welshman.

However, the decision about Ramsey’s contract is final. Emery considers this question to be closed.

Unai understands that Ramsey is thinking about his future and the future of his family now. Nevertheless, the Spaniard asked Aaron to focus on the game at Arsenal until the end of the season. According to Emery, the midfielder completely coped with that task and demonstrated it on Sunday.
